Details about MSFL Ltd

MSFL Ltd will provide, where applicable equipment associated with that course, we will also provide all the exam papers and study books and where relevant any necessary hand-outs. We will also provide you with the end of course examination/and evaluation (see below) and will distribute your examination results, please feel free to contact us with any queries ahead of your training. (Please note all certificates and examination results will be held by MSFL Ltd until payments has cleared to us).

In the unlikely event a learner fails their exam, and where necessary additional training is required, MSFL Ltd reserve the right to charge an extra fee.

Qualified and competent persons will carry out all courses and assessments, all certificates and qualifications held by the trainers can be produced and you are welcome to take copies of all certificates for your records.

MSFL Ltd will ensure all relevant paperwork and where applicable publications will be provided, we will provide where applicable all qualified assessors. We will keep all appropriate paperwork for 7 years and will be subject to the Data Protection Act. Please feel free to request our Data Protection Policy. If you wish to keep your own copies please feel free to copy any relevant for you.

Candidates Suitability

For all First Aid Courses

Candidates should be fairly active as a certain amount of kneeling and physical movement is required. All persons are welcomed to attend this course, however, any injury or illness should be discussed with the Course Director before booking onto any course, and where necessary any issue should also be communicated with the course trainer at the start of the course. My Skills for Life Ltd reserve the right to cancel any place(s) where they feel the candidate is unable to perform certain skills. The candidates will need to perform all relevant CPR skills on the floor.

For all Courses

Reasonable adjustment will be made for any candidates with learning, ethnic, culture and mobility requirements; if you wish to view our reasonable adjustment policy please do not hesitate to ask for a copy. Please inform us of any learners with any of the above requirements that you are aware of.

We also seek to ensure all candidates have chosen a course that is appropriate for their working practices and environments and/or progression to further training. We strongly recommend that all clients and or learners complete a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) form, this can be used in conjunction with the course specification form, and where necessary sent back to us, however, if you would like more advice on any of our courses and if they are the correct one for you or your learner, please feel free to contact us.

Candidates Clothing

Please ensure clothing is suitable and comfortable as some skills will require candidates to be physical and clothing that is restrictive may make performing these skills difficult.

Wet courses only

Clothing should be clothing as stipulated by the relevant awarding body. In most cases, this will be a T-shirt and shorts, with swimming costume under this clothing.

If you are providing the Venue

  • The floor space should have at least a clear area of 6 metres by 6 metres. It should be well ventilated and should have adjustable temperature control.
  • The floor should be clean and where possible carpeted. Chairs should be provided and where applicable tables too.
  • Toilets should also be provided and accessible.
  • Where applicable refreshments should be provided by the host venue.
  • Where possible a screen to project on, where this is not possible a light or white wall, free of any pictures etc.
  • Where possible please supply and have access to a flip chart and paper.


We will always try and provide refreshments (hot drinks) on our internal course and where we are able to, on our open courses too, however we unfortunately cannot provided hot or cold lunches, unless stated in our confirmation letters, please refer to your confirmation letter for more details.

Complaints and Appeals

Any complaints made by learners and or by the client should be communicated in the following manner: -

  • Issues relating to MSFL Ltd or any contractor working for MSFL Ltd
  • Comments should be made to the trainer, where this is not possible, to the Course Director, where this is not possible to the Course administrator (
  • Where this is not possible, please ask to view our complaints & appeals policy.
  • End of course feedback forms will be issued, any feedback that will need addressing, will be communicate with all those involved with the delivery and administration of the course, outcomes will be communicated to the client and or the learner, where applicable.

We do not issue daily feedback forms to our learners, but we will try and speak to all learners about their progression daily.

Payment and Booking Conditions

  • Please note the terms and conditions of payment are below.
  • Booking should be received at the earliest opportunity and only payment will confirm the place on the course.
  • Where candidates are successful with attending courses or passing any assessment, certificates will only be sent where payment has been received and cleared.

Cancellation Policy

Payment terms are stated on the invoice and are strictly 14 days. In order for us to run courses at a reasonable cost and to ensure cancellations are kept to a minimum please see our cancellation policy below:

48 hours before start of course Full cost of the course
2 to 14 days before start of course 50% of the course
If we receive more than 14 days’ notice, we will refund the full course amount but there will an administration charge.

Payment is to be made by BACS, cheque or card payment over the phone. Our payment terms are 14 days so all invoices must be paid within 14 days from date of invoice. Late payment may result in additional interest charges.

If MSFL Ltd Cancel an event or a course

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel an event or a course (due to low number of learners / trainer sickness) we aim to give you as much notice as possible and offer you an alternative. If a refund is required we aim to process this within 7 days.

Certification Process

Candidates/Clients will be issued Certificates within 5 working days upon receipt of the certificate from the Awarding Organisation, or within 7 working days of payment of course fees. For individuals booked on to the course, the certificates will be sent to them recorded delivery, for companies booking candidates, all certificates will be posted to the companies address recorded delivery.
